BFG TO EU

The Big friendly guide to the European Union is an innovative teaching and learning programme. it aims to develop awareness, knowledge and debate at primary school level on the European Union and Ireland's role within it. In May 2021, three classes in St Eunan's participated in this programme. Junior infants, First and Second class & Fifth class all enjoyed learning about the history of the EU and the role of the EU. This programme empowered the children to make informed decisions about the world they live in. This programme also linked well with our SPHE curriculum particularly when discussing critical thinking, active citizenship and media education.

5th

Mrs Logue's 5th Class have been awarded with the BFGTOEU Award. This project involved learning and discussing the EU and Brexit. It is amazing how children in our youngest class and right up to the senior class can have opinions on the EU and learn about how it works and start to talk about topical events that will have a major impact on their future. I am sure that these children will be well capable to become the leaders of the future and help make positive decisions for their world.
